Friends' parents would come home after work to a tidy and redecorated home . Prior to that I was assembling doll houses with scrap lumber from construction sites. Cutting out photos of paintings from my mother's magazines to decorate the walls. Wrapping fabric around small pieces of wood to create mini-modular seating for Barbie and Skipper. Small trays and thimbles as baskets for storage. Design has been a part of my soul since a very early age...
Of the many of the reasons I became a Realtor is my life long love of homes. When I returned to real estate sales in 2002 in "Lamorinda", each week homes straight out of Architectural Digest and Elle Decor were open for the Brokers tour. And I had to admit I found myself more interested in the design, decor and organizing solutions throughout these beautiful homes, than I was in selling homes. It wasn't long afterwards that I returned to the corporate world and could spend the weekends with my husband remodeling our family home in Orinda. In 2016 we made the move to Penn Valley, where we live in a home we designed and built together.

Working full time and raising a son and daughter while remodeling our 1930's home presented challenges that required adaptability, a good eye for design at costs points that didn't break our budget.
